I am beginning to see a pattern here…

NEXT!

A judge has ordered Mashpee Wampanoag Tribal Council chairman Shawn Hendricks to stay away from his wife and three children.

My husband is a fourth-degree black belt and has firearms,” she wrote in an affidavit with her restraining order filing. “He has a very bad temper toward me and enjoys intimidating me.”

She also alleges Hendricks uses anabolic steroids and provides details of his allegedly violent tendencies, from throwing a plate of food at her to putting his arm through a glass door.

”Self-governance” on sovereign ground, my ass. Has the carpetbagger bondadambond weighed in to defend Hendricks yet?

They sure know how to pick them, huh?

Who is on the third reel? Who will lead the “tribe” next?

  1. If you read “Without Reservation” by Jeff Benedict, you will learn how a Felony conviction and a stretch in the big house were pre-requisits for Tribal leadership. You got extra points if the conviction was for murder.

I wonder if Middleboro’s pychotherapist, Hal Brown, is still going to associate with such characters. I suppose if he and those like him can call others racists, can we call them sexist abusers? They condone rapists and woman abusers. They must all be rapists and women abusers too. That is how Hal’s logic dictates. I’m glad I am no friend of these men. I’d fear for my life. What does a girl have to do around here to get some mace?

  3. Lola, because Massachusetts does not want you to be able to defend yourself, you must acquire an FID before you may purchase mace, pepperspray, or a stungun…or next time I leave Massachusetts to visit America I will pick some up at Walgreen’s for you.

Hal’s modified strawman attack logic seems to have been temporarily supplanted by the “educated (insert victim or afflicted)” theory. Therefore, it is not Shawn Hendricks’ fault. His wife should have seen the signs sooner and taken more proactive steps rather than reacting like this.

If you spend any time reading comments from members of the tribe on Cape Cod Times and other cape news outlets or reading a couple blogs, you soon get the picture that there is definitely serious contention within the tribe about the direction the tribe should go and the leadership it should have. I remember being told by Amelia Bingham herself on the day last year, when she came to address the Middleboro Board of Selectmen, that they had better look very closely at who they are dealing with, and that Glenn Marshall was elected Chairman of the Tribe by only the slimmest of margins. Current comments on the Cape Cod Times indicate that Shawn was no one’s elected choice, he was moved up into the Chairman’s position by Glenn’s forced resignation. Time indeed for some serious soul-searching, and I ferverently hope that the faction in the tribe that wants nothing to do with Gambling operators prevails in the end, and tells Kerzner and others to take their Middleboro land and shove it.

    Lola,

Not only would it be the fault of his wife, according to Hal’s logic, divorce is a good thing and the family and children are better off. She should be happy that her marraige is over.

I am sure that bondadambond will come up with some one liner similar to his defense of Glenn Marshall….hey, we all have skeletons, right?

The more I read about this Tribe’s leadership the more concerned I get. Sorry, but I have no intention of welcoming neighbors like that to our community.

V.A. benefits for a convicted rapist, who lies to congress, and wants his bingo checks. If it looks like “King” Philip, sounds like “King” Philip, smells like “King” Philip, then it’s his progeny, the newly elected Hendricks “gang.” The B.I.A. should enforce “no felons” on any taxpayers “sovereign” payroll.
